Recycled Magazine Jar

Vendor: Filipinas Fair Trade Ventures Group
Type: vase

Incredibly stunning with an even more incredible story. We can’t say enough about how much this jar takes our breath away.
The recycled magazine jar is made out of magazine pages tightly wound by hand to create little “beads.” The jar could hold water but we think it’s just as impressive on its own.
Incredible craftsmanship by a community in the Philippines living near one of Manila’s largest dump sites. This group is trained and employed by the Filipinas Fair Trade Venture Group, an inspirational organization committed to providing sustainable development to disadvantaged people.

As we ogle it, we can’t get enough of how beautiful the hand wound magazine beads piece together to form such an impressive piece.

12” tall with a 2” wide opening up top.
In red or black.

Why we love it:
1. yet another good looking reuse story
2. yet another product from the Filipinas Fair Trade Venture group
3. a perfect gift for someone who has everything
